Issue #425:Standard table based on individual file

New issue 425: Standard table that based on individual files.

Roman Telezhinskyi:

It is not always possible to create a standard table with increment values. Often statistical data have not such a correlation. If only we could create a file that will gather all data from individual files and allow user to switch between them smoothly. Or something similar.

a sidebar issue im not sure if its just an ordering problem or a naming problem but im having a bit of trouble mapping what is in Tape to ASTM measurements could somebody post a mapping??

lets begin with what ASTM Girth measurements Map to the Tape “Circ” measurements

this may have to be a brute force type of deal where somebody sits down with a standard reference and then pounds out the different files.

is the 0.4 beta stable enough to do some pounding with??On Wed, Dec 23, 2015 at 8:40 AM, Roman Telezhinskyi issues-reply@bitbucket.org wrote:

I have closed almost all issues i know. If something was missed only testing will show it.

There are graphics in your ASTM docs for each ASTM measurement. All of the ASTM measurements are included in the Valentina measurements graphic. Using the graphics, match each ASTM measurement name to a Valentina M number. Then open Tape, find the M number, and the Valentina measurement name will be listed next to it.On Tue, Dec 29, 2015 at 12:24 PM, Bad Wolf robertltux@gmail.com wrote:

Where can I find shared standard .vit and .val files based on latest ASTM sizes? For example I would like to start a pattern project using ASTM size 20W and create a customized .vit file by modifying a few measurements instead of the time consuming entry of measurements to create an individualized .vit file

SInce size 20 &22 are American sizes you will need to get the size tables for women (size 20) and for mature women (size 22) from ASTM. The you can input that data into a Standard table for the sizes you want.

The name ‘Standard’ really refers to ‘Multisize’ because we are not in the business of buying multiple governments’ size data and redistributing it. We should perhaps change the name from Standard to Multisize.

Valentina provides the ability for you to use the size data that you wish, whether from any country or your own boutique size data, and input what you want into your custom multisize tables.
