We understand that LibreCAD is based on Qt, but Valentina seems to be a standalone project. We also understand that Qt allows for highly desirable cross-platform distribution, but we’re curious what other factors played a role in the selection of C++ and Qt for Valentina. As relative newcomers to both CAD and the garment industry, we’d like to understand the domain and technical contexts as best we can.
